Telenor, Infosys announced joint ERP solution

Norwegian telecommunications operator Telenor and multinational Information Technology (IT) company Infosys have launched their jointly-developed Oracle Cloud ERP solution.
This new offering is part of Telenor and Infosys’ partnership to transform the former’s finance and supply chain operations.
In a statement, Telenor said that it chose to collaborate due to its innovative and standardized solutions, reusable assets, skilled talent pool, and ability to accelerate solution deployment.
As part of the agreement, Infosys, along with Telenor’s business and IT teams, implemented the future-proof, standardized Oracle Cloud ERP solution to enhance the telecom’s enhance agility and operational efficiency.
The solution has been implemented across 10 Telenor entities in a record time of 9 months.
Commenting on the collaboration, Telenor Norway CFO Terje Borge said that this is part of their effort to “raise the bar in its operational performance to serve as the trusted digital partner for its consumer and enterprise customers.”
Borge added that the “ERP transformation program is one of the steps in making Telenor agile and efficient.”
Meanwhile, Infosys EVP of Communications, Media and Technology Anand Swaminathan said that the ERP platform “enables Telenor Norway to drive operational excellence, which ultimately translates into a superior customer experience.”
