PH HIMS sector could reach $5B by year-end

The health information management services (HIMS) industry in the Philippines is predicted to reach $5 billion this year, with recorded revenue growth of 7.3 to 10%.
This would make the country Asia’s hub for healthcare-business process management (BPM) services.
Last year, the sector reported a total of $3.1 billion which accounted for 10.3% of the entire outsourcing business in the country.
It also provided jobs to over 200,000 individuals as of the end of last year.
According to Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Assistant Secretary Rafaelita Aldaba, the Philippines is now a “one-stop-shop” in the healthcare outsourcing industry.
Currently, it runs integrated IT and BPM services that combine technology, voice, and non-voice including clinical and non-clinical services, representing 13% of the global IT-BPM market share.
There are 400 companies in the sector, including small and medium-sized players.
