itel to open 1,500 jobs in Jamaica

Global service provider itel is looking to employ an additional 1,500 Jamaicans as they are planning to build a new facility at St Andrew, Jamaica.
In an interview with Jamaica Observer, itel Chairman and CEO Yoni Epstein said that this expansion is part of the company’s 10th anniversary and its aims to bring the business to an international level.
The US$7 million investment construction project will house approximately 1,200 seats and is expected to suit the mental, social and physical needs of its employees.
Epstein added that due to the facility being built to accommodate their team members, he is hoping that it will “propel itel as an employer of choice.”
itel currently has 6,000 employees across nine countries.
