Optum pledges ‘long-term commitment’ to PH

Health services innovation company Optum Global Solutions promised its long-term commitment to the Philippines during its 10th anniversary in the country.
During a virtual press conference, Optum VP for External Affairs Atty. Darwin Mariano said that despite concerns with the pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war, “what we can say is definitely we’re committed to the Philippines.”The Philippines is the second-largest operation of the company globally in terms of headcount with 19,000 employees.
Mariano stated that they are working on “doubling down” that number and becoming a “more active contributor” in creating world-class Filipino talents.
Optum Philippines offers an extensive suite of enabling and technology services that delivers excellent customer care, payment integrity, pharmacy benefit management, and revenue cycle management solutions.
To signify their commitment to the country, the firm disclosed that they would be launching their big clinical education platform called Optum Health education.
Moreover, Optum is looking forward to partnering with more schools and medical institutions in the country to bring the program to those who need it most.
Optum Philippines Managing Director Ivic Mueco added that they are looking forward “to having more compassionate and caring Filipino talents who help in making Optum’s mission of having better and more affordable healthcare for all a reality.”
