WFH solutions specialist yoummday acquires ICON
Technology platform yoummday recently acquired multilingual Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider ICON Communication Centres as part of its growth strategy and international expansion.
The purchase of ICON is yoummday’s first acquisition since receiving a €30 million (US$30.6 million) funding round from nature capitalists Armira Growth and Project A in February 2022.
yoummday’s purchase of ICON accelerates the company’s international expansion as it seeks to disrupt traditional BPO and contact center models. It also adds significant expertise in multilingual capability and global reach.
With ICON’s existing operations, yoummday’s entry into both the United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK) markets is now expedited.
yoummday CEO and Founder Dr. Klaus Harisch said that the ICON deal furnishes the opportunity to strengthen yoummday’s growth strategy, which is predicated on integrating traditional BPO operators into our proprietary marketplace platform.
ICON CEO Helen Hickin added, “It’s the right time for ICON’s next evolution and yoummday is perfectly positioned to ensure ICON’s clients continue to benefit from innovative delivery solutions.”
ICON’s C-Team will continue to operate alongside yoummday, and the ICON brand will remain in operation for the foreseeable future.
