PH, Israel to reinforce opportunities on ICT and innovations

The Philippines and Israel will reinforce their bilateral relations in areas of Information Communications Technology (ICT) and innovation.
According to Israel Ambassador to the Philippines Ilan Fluss, the ties between the two countries stem from a long history of bilateral political support to one that focuses on technology and innovation.
“My priority and mean effort as ambassador is promoting the establishment of bridges of innovation and technology between our two countries,” he added.
Israel is propelling as a global hub for innovation and start-ups with acquired breakthroughs in agriculture and water, medical devices, smart mobility, cybersecurity and ICT, thus, it led to the fostering of government-to-government, business-to-business relations with the Philippines.
The tie set up further investments, for example, the development of ICT structural backbone of the country and its local telecommunication companies.
“I call on our companies and local partners – we should bring not only the very best of technologies but also aspects of knowledge transfer and job creation. This will make long-term partnerships beneficial for all parties,” Fuss added.
Meanwhile, Department of Information Communications Technology (DICT) Undersecretary David Almirol concurs said that the Philippines can learn and take on Israeli partners for development of e-government in the country.
