Infosys sets up shop in Calgary, to generate 1,000 jobs

Indian multinational firm Infosys recently opened a new office in Calgary, Canada, a move that is set to expand the company’s operations in the country. This development is said to generate 1,000 job vacancies over the next two years.
The new Infosys Digital Center located in Gulf Canada Square will serve as an office for the firm’s digital services division.
“(It) enables us to scale work with clients across key industries, such as energy, natural resources and agriculture,” said Infosys president Ravi Kumar.
“Calgary’s IT innovation potential is unlimited, and we are delighted to be a part of its future,” he added.
Infosys opened another site in the city due to its rich Information Technology (IT) talents and strategic location.
The new strategic location will ease the company’s task to work closely with clients to develop areas such as intelligent automation, green technology, user experience and advanced digital technologies such as big data and cloud.
