PH SEC introduce digital transformation initiatives

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) presents the Philippines’ digital transformation milestones as part of its ease of doing business initiatives during the 2022 Corporate Registers Forum (CRF) Annual Conference in the Maldives.
The CRF is an association of international corporate registries with government agencies from the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates and Singapore as members. Along with counterpart registries, the SEC highlighted its digitization efforts amid COVID-19 crisis in the country.
“the shift to digital transactions was envisioned to make doing business easier than ever as the SEC Philippines strives for a more empowered business sector considered among the best in Southeast Asia,” SEC Chairman Emilio Aquino said.
“The SEC Philippines accelerated its digital transformation during the pandemic to efficiently address the demands of the new normal. Guided by its Digital Transformation and Technology Modernization Roadmap, the SEC Philippines turned the pandemic into an opportunity to modernize its policies and processes, and to promote the use of technological innovations for more secure and easier transactions,” he added.
The event was attended by representatives from 26 jurisdictions.
