Teleperformance boosts sustainability plans with AboitizPower deal

Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider Teleperformance recently signed a deal to source 100% renewable energy from AboitizPower (AP) retailer Adventenergy, Inc for its facility in Bacolod City.
Utilizing AboitizPower’s Cleanergy brand, the partnership is part of TP’s strong commitment to reaching environmental sustainability in its operations in the Philippines.
Teleperformance Philippines CEO Francisco Lara said, “As BPOs, we have already made a positive impact in the Philippine community through providing thousands of jobs to career-seekers.”
“We have the resources to take it a step further and shift the focus on climate security given the alarming damages in our communities brought about by climate change. The transition to Renewable Energy is one of the easiest steps we can take so long as we have a reliable partner such as AboitizPower to guide us through the process,” he added.
BPO firms consume energy round-the-clock. With the shift to renewable energy, TP hopes to prompt other BPOs in the country to make environmentally conscious choices in their operations.
Aside from TP-Bacolod, Teleperformance will also operate its Sucat facility using 100% Cleanergy.
