WNS acquires The Smart Cube, OptiBuy

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES & MUMBAI, INDIA — Business Process Management (BPM) solutions provider WNS (Holdings) Limited recently acquired research and analytics (R&A) platform The Smart Cube and procurement management firm Optibuy.
In a press release, WNS said that both companies are complementary to their existing offerings and would strengthen the company’s capabilities in both high-end procurement and advanced analytics.
Founded in 2003 and headquartered in London, United Kingdom (UK), The Smart Cube provides digitally-led market intelligence and analytics solutions. With its digital AI knowledge management platform called Amplifi Pro, the firm provides clients with procurement and market intelligence for insight-based decision-making.
The Smart Cube acquisition, valued at $125 million, is expected to expand WNS’ European footprint and generate an additional $9 million net revenue in the 2023 fiscal year.
Meanwhile, OptiBuy — founded in 2010 and headquartered in Warsaw, Poland — is a leading European provider of procurement platform consulting and implementation solutions.
This buyout, valued at €30.0 million, is expected to expand WNS’ capabilities in the North American market and bring in an estimated $2 million to WNS’ net revenue in FY2023.
WNS CEO Keshav Murugesh said that both companies possess “unique, digitally-led/human intelligence capabilities which are complementary to WNS’ existing procurement and analytics offerings, and are also complementary with each other.”
“We believe that The Smart Cube and OptiBuy will significantly enhance our WNS-Denali (procurement) and WNS-Triange (analytics) solutions and help accelerate our positioning and growth in these strategic areas,” he added.
