India, U.S. top latest Tholons index

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — The United States and India earned top marks in the latest Tholons Global Business Innovation Sustainability Index (TBIS).
The two countries — along with Canada, the United Kingdom (UK), Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, and Denmark — were categorized as “Avant Garde” nations for leading the digital transformation of industries and services globally.
The TBIS report evaluates countries on various fronts, namely business environment (20%), quality of life (20%), innovation/digital environment (15%), DEI or diversity, equity & inclusion (10%), sustainability (10%), and super cities (25%).
India scored 10 out of 10 in the super cities category and above nine points in the business environment and quality of life. Meanwhile, the U.S. topped the innovation tier.
Moreover, Ireland landed top marks in business, New Zealand in DEI, Estonia in quality of life, and Iceland in sustainability.
Besides “Avant Garde” nations, the TBIS also categorized countries that have built a vibrant foundation as “Big Kahuna”, while nations that are aspiring to leverage innovation and balance DEI and sustainability as “Hanger On.”
