Intellinetics digitizes U.S. city’s vital historical records

OHIO, UNITED STATES — Digital transformation solutions provider Intellinetics proudly announced that they have successfully digitized the vital historical records of Garden City, Michigan.
Using its Intellinetics Document Scanning Services, the firm scanned and indexed over 104,000 birth and death records dating back to 1928, when Garden City was a newly incorporated village.
The new process facilitated quicker and easier fulfillment of vital records requests, kept the records safe from natural disasters, and prevented the original documents from degrading by frequent handling.
Matthew Miller, City Clerk of Garden City, said they are happy with their partnership with Intellinetics.
“Our vital records scanning project was a huge task, and they performed it very well. They made it an easy process from beginning to end,” he added.
Meanwhile, Intellinetics President and CEO James DeSocio said they are pleased to assist Garden City with its goal of increasing access to and safeguarding public records.
DeSocio added, “We believe by leveraging our people, technology, and partnerships to solve municipal governments’ biggest challenges, we will continue to expand our market share.”
Intellinetics will continue supporting garden City in the digitalization initiatives of the Building Department.
