Fiji to upskill outsourcing workforce

SUVA, FIJI — Outsource Fiji announced an initiative to upskill its outsourcing employees and create a diverse and committed workforce.
According to Outsource Fiji CEO Sagufta Janif, in addition to the contact center short course program introduced at the Fiji National University (FNU) last year, the company is working on engaging offshore digital platforms to train locals.
Outsource Fiji is looking to collaborate with international organizations to bring open-source learning platforms to the country, enabling individuals to upgrade their skills and access opportunities within the outsourcing industry.
A certificate program is also in development by the FNU in partnership with Fiji’s Higher Education Commission and the BPO sector to provide students with the technical skills needed to excel in the outsourcing industry.
Janif believes these initiatives offer an opportunity for Fiji’s workforce to keep up with the outsourcing industry, its trends, and developments.
