Jamaica to host Outsource2LAC Summit in June

MONTEGO BAY, JAMAICA — Jamaica will host the Outsource2LAC Global Digital Summit, the largest outsourcing conference in the Western Hemisphere, on June 14 and 15.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce through Jamaica Promotions Corporation (Jampro) and Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). It will feature government representatives from 20 Latin American and Caribbean trade promotion agencies.
The summit is expected to draw roughly 400 entrepreneurs and will focus on cutting-edge knowledge and promoting business.
Fabrizio Opertti, manager of the Integration and Trade Sector, explained that Jamaica’s commitment to digital innovation and knowledge-based services has attracted over 15 international corporations, making Jamaica even more attractive for business and investment.
The summit will allow industry leaders to explore the potential of this vibrant and growing market and experience Jamaica’s unique culture and business-friendly environment.
It will also offer participants an overview of back-office, knowledge-based, and digital outsourcing services available throughout the region, as well as engage them in discussions on timely themes and trends.
“By hosting Outsource2LAC in Jamaica, we are providing an opportunity for industry leaders to explore the potential of this vibrant and growing market while experiencing the country’s unique culture and business-friendly environment,” added Opertti.
Meanwhile, Jampro VP of Marketing Gabriel Heron stated that the global digital summit would expose Jamaica’s Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) and Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) capabilities which, in turn, will ‘change the narrative of the country’s global services sector.
