The study, involving 213 tech HR professionals and 792 tech employees, revealed that ChatGPT is becoming a key player in automating tasks such as interview scheduling, onboarding material distribution, and candidate follow-ups, significantly enhancing time management and overall efficiency in HR departments.
Nearly 70% of tech HR employees surveyed indicated their companies are backing them with the required resources to make positive changes in HR practices via AI tools like ChatGPT.
Other tech tools widely used in HR include payroll software (54%), background check software (42%), HR analytics and reporting (41%), and time and attendance systems (40%).
While 44% of small business owners expressed concerns about AI reducing hires, a separate FreshBooks survey revealed two-thirds were not threatened by AI job impact, with a quarter already employing or testing AI tools like ChatGPT, underscoring the importance of a balanced approach in AI integration.
