NTT DATA launches security outsourcing solution

TOKYO, JAPAN — Global IT service provider NTT DATA recently launched a security management outsourcing service to prevent cyber incidents and reduce the damage they cause.
Set to debut in Japan in July 2023, the service plans to go global within the fiscal year.
The security management team comprises experienced engineers from NTT DATA’s CSIRT, considered experts in incident response.
In the event of a security breach, NTT DATA’s engineers will step in for the client company. They will pinpoint the cause, enact emergency protocols, optimize recovery, and work to avert similar incidents in the future.
Simultaneously, NTT DATA will kickstart a talent development scheme for security engineers. The plan is to expand its expert base from the current 100 to approximately 500 worldwide by March 2026. The overarching objective is to rake over 200 billion yen from global security management sales by March 2026.
This strategic move responds to the changing business world, where factors like remote work, diversified supply chains, and rapid AI development make cyberattack defense increasingly tricky.
By offering comprehensive security management services, NTT DATA plans to assist clients in swiftly detecting, responding to, and recovering from incidents.
The launch of this service marks a significant stride for NTT DATA in aiding companies to successfully negotiate complex security challenges, promoting a more secure global digital business sphere.
