BPO offers jobs for Indiana’s incarcerated women

PHOENIX, UNITED STATES — Phoenix-based Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firm Televerde is launching a new call center in the Indiana Women’s Prison, opening fresh employment prospects for the inmates.
This expansion adds to two already functioning Rockville and Madison Correctional Facilities contact centers, collectively employing 127 women.
The new center in Indianapolis initially opened with nine employees, with plans for future expansion. This development from Televerde plays a significant role in incarcerated women’s rehabilitation and social reintegration.
Lloyd Arnold, COO of Indiana Correctional Industries, said this initiative provides a real opportunity for a fresh start for women in their facility.
Over the last 25 years, Televerde has offered jobs to about 3,500 women in prisons across Arizona, Indiana, and Florida. An impressive 94% of these women have transitioned into professional sales, marketing, or tech roles. The company guarantees fair wages and offers valuable business and IT training through its unique prison workforce development program.
Televerde CEO, Chris McGugan, stands firmly behind the transformative power of their social initiative, explaining that the new center embodies their belief in strategic collaboration as a tool for instigating social change and enhancing business outcomes. He shows enthusiasm for forming a high-performing team in Indiana.
More than merely expanding operations, Televerde’s Indiana venture is about positively impacting lives and futures. The company’s dedication to its rehabilitation program positions them as a trailblazer, illustrating how businesses can drive both social change and business performance.
