OpenAI, Upwork team up to advance AI recruitment
CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES — Artificial intelligence research organization OpenAI recently partnered with freelance marketplace Upwork to simplify AI specialist hiring.
The joint venture, “OpenAI Experts on Upwork,” intends to connect businesses with experts skilled in OpenAI technologies.
The initiative also encourages the ethical use of AI, offering businesses the chance to consult or contract experts based on their needs.
Upwork Marketplace VP of Product Dave Bottoms is enthused about the alliance, saying it would offer more substantial opportunities to professionals on Upwork and provide businesses the specialized talent they need for AI projects.
Aliisa Rosenthal, Head of Sales at OpenAI, highlighted the role of AI in impactful work and both organizations’ dedication to its beneficial use.
“Our aim is for our models to be useful and beneficial for everyone, and we are committed to helping people understand how our technology can impact critical work,” Rosenthal added.
As the demand for AI specialists increases, with Upwork recording a 450% growth in weekly AI job posts compared to last year, the initiative aims to meet this demand by rigorously pre-vetting professionals, allowing businesses to hire confidently.
The partnership forms part of Upwork’s larger AI Services hub, reinforcing its leadership in the AI hiring field. The platform will also integrate OpenAI’s advanced technologies into new features to enrich the user experience.
