Microsoft’s Bing AI branches out to more browsers

WASHINGTON, UNITED STATES — Microsoft’s Bing AI, initially limited to its Edge browser and app, will now be released to third-party browsers.
In a statement, the firm explained that Bing and Bing Chat will be available on any modern browser at Bing.com.
“Third-party browser availability is currently flighting to a subset of users, and we are excited to expand access to everyone soon. While all browsers may not roll out at the same time, our intent is to support any modern browser,” Microsoft added.
Despite the broader reach, Microsoft hints at the best experience on Edge, with features like longer chat sessions and chat history.
For instance, while Chrome users can only send five chat messages simultaneously, Edge users can send thirty. Some browsers also have character restrictions and occasional prompts suggest switching to Edge.
Functionality-wise, Bing AI remains consistent across browsers. Users can choose conversation styles, ask questions, and use visuals in their queries. New features include a visual search and Dark Mode, with a special enterprise edition also available for larger companies.
