SaaS firm PlayerLync acquired by Intertek Group

COLORADO, UNITED STATES — Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company PlayerLync has been acquired by Intertek Group for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition aims to strengthen Intertek’s People Assurance offering and complement the learning management system (LMS) and operational checklists of Wisetail, an Intertek company.
With approximately 2.7 billion people, constituting 80% of the global workforce, engaged in deskless roles, the demand for mobile-based learning and content management solutions is surging.
PlayerLync’s platform is trusted by some of the world’s leading brands. It combines employee training, operations, and communications into a single mobile application, making it easier to deliver rich and visual learning content to frontline workers.
The acquisition will enhance Intertek’s ability to serve its global client base across multiple business lines and industries by integrating PlayerLync’s mobile-first technology with Wisetail’s award-winning LMS.
PlayerLync, based in Denver, Colorado, generated revenues of £6.1 million (approximately US$7.7 million) in 2022. Wisetail, also based in Bozeman, Montana, is focused on building corporate communities through learning and development.
“The expansion of the Wisetail and Playerlync portfolio of offerings ensures the best learning, operations, and content management solution is available for clients today and into the future,” said Wisetail President Ali Knapp.
Before the acquisition, PlayerLync had raised a total of $18.8 million in funding over 4 rounds.
