Cherry Bekaert expands services with Cordia acquisition

NORTH CAROLINA, UNITED STATES — Assurance, tax, and advisory firm Cherry Bekaert has acquired Cordia Partners and Cordia Resources to enhance its services and strengthen its presence in Washington, D.C.
Cordia Partners provides outsourced accounting, business advisory, technology, and consulting services, while Cordia Resources offers recruiting and staffing solutions. Together they employ over 250 people and generate around $48 million in annual revenue.
Cherry Bekaert CEO Michelle Thompson said, “Cordia provides a prime opportunity for us to expand our offerings and strengthen our practice in the D.C. metro area.”
Meanwhile, Cordia’s Managing Partner Mitchell Weintraub added that Cordia’s services complement Cherry Bekaert’s.
“This synergy affords our clients the opportunity to access an expanded and innovative range of service offerings,” she added.
With over 2,000 staff and $541 million in revenue, Cherry Bekaert expects the merger will give more businesses access to outsourced accounting, financial technology, and talent solutions.
