INSPHERO offers college opportunities to Filipino BPO workers

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Social enterprise INSPHERO is helping Filipino Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) workers gain a college degree through a specialized business administration program.
Since 2019, INSPHERO has provided an online bachelor’s degree program designed specifically for BPO professionals with at least five years of experience. The flexibility of the program allows students to work full-time while studying
The program was developed in partnership with Cebu Institute of Technology – University and Philippine Women’s University.
Notably, it is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)
IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) President Jack Madrid praised INSPHERO’s work as it equips BPO workers with the necessary skills.
Optum Philippines, a health services company, champions this initiative by reimbursing tuition fees for its employees enrolled in the program. Most of the 117 graduates so far have come from Optum.
“The pursuit of knowledge does not have a deadline or an expiration date,“ said Optum Managing Director Ivic Mueco.
INSPHERO Founder and Principal Consultant Gabriel Orendain aims to expand the reach of the program to serve Overseas Filipino Workers pursuing their education.
