SMEs turn to managed services for digital advancements

COLORADO, UNITED STATES — A recent survey by JumpCloud revealed that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) increasingly use managed service providers (MSPs) to navigate digital transformation complexities and keep pace with IT advancements.
Globally, 69% of SMEs use MSPs to some extent already, with 30% considering doing so.
In the United Kingdom (UK), 57% of SMEs said that they are using MSPs. That number rises to 79% for SMEs in the United States (U.S.).
The top reasons for outsourcing to MSPs are their expertise with the latest technologies (61%), better user experiences (55%), cost-effectiveness (50%), and enhanced security capabilities (41%).
JumpCloud’s survey also showed that SMEs mainly use service providers for security and cloud storage, although concerns remain about security management.
According to respondents, outsourcing to MSPs helps them gain specialized expertise, improved efficiency, optimized operations, and greater focus on their core business.
JumpCloud’s latest report was based on a survey of 1,221 admins from the U.S., UK, and France.
