Georgia attracts major global BPO firms
TBILISI, GEORGIA — Enterprise Georgia CEO Mikheil Khidureli confirmed that three of the world’s top five Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies now operate in Georgia.
Khidureli said that Teleperformance’s recent launch in Georgia shows the country’s strong business environment and potential as a global player.
Two other major BPO firms, Concentrix and Majorel, already operate in Georgia before Teleperformance.
Specifically, Concentrix announced its launch in Georgia in early 2022, while Majorel — of which Teleperformance recently acquired a 99.91% share — has offices in Batumi and Tbilisi.
Khidureli also noted that Teleperformance’s entry into Georgia followed a year of negotiations, visits, and meetings.
He added that as a state agency promoting entrepreneurship, Enterprise Georgia convinced the company to invest by citing the nation’s well-qualified local workforce.
Last month, BPO investors visited Tbilisi to explore investment potential. They praised the industry’s positive dynamics and Georgia’s potential. The investors also said Georgia is now “on the radar” of many prospective investors in the sector.
In May, United States-based BPO firm Clark Staff announced its acquisition of an iconic building in Tbilisi’s Freedom Square amid its expansion to Georgia. The company is subscribed to the Outsource Accelerator (OA) Source Partner Program, a powerful tool that helps BPO firms with marketing, sales, and business intelligence.
