U.S. job seekers frustrated by poor communication during hiring process

UTAH, UNITED STATES — A recent survey by hiring platform HireVue has unveiled a wave of frustration among United States job seekers due to poor communication during the application process.
The study, involving over 1,000 U.S. participants, revealed that a staggering 48% of respondents received no feedback after being rejected for a role.
One third cited insufficient information on whether they were a good fit for the position, while over a third expressed dissatisfaction with generic rejection notices.
Additionally, over 70% of respondents emphasized the importance of pay transparency, but more than half were disappointed by companies that did not disclose salary details upfront.
Interview experiences were also a pain point, with 14% of participants finding it hard to connect personally with interviewers.
Meanwhile, 47% indicated they would never re-apply to a company after one bad interview experience.
“These issues reflect a disconnect between employers and candidates, reinforcing the need for a more candidate-centric approach that focuses on potential,” HireVue stated in a press release.
