SmartSearch appoints technical sales veteran as EVP of Sales

CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES — In its quest for talent expansion across various industries, tech firm SmartSearch Inc. has appointed technical sales veteran Doug Edwards as its Executive Vice President (EVP) of Sales.
Edwards boasts of 25 years experience in technical sales. He has been employed in multiple executive roles for staffing agencies and Software as a Service (SaaS) providers. Before his appointment at SmartSearch, Edwards was the Vice President of Sales for staffing and recruiting software TargetRecruit.
SmartSearch Chief Executive Officer Erik Enright expressed his optimism in their new EVP of Sales: “Doug’s deep knowledge and connection to the industry will be an accelerator to our transformative evolution.”
Apart from TargetRecruit, Edwards has worked for several tech companies such as recruiting software Erecruit and talent engagement and acquisition suite WorkLLama. In WorkLLama, Edwards closed significant client partnerships in enterprise staffing in the U.S. and UK staffing markets.
Throughout his career, Edwards has gained substantial knowledge in market entry strategies while expanding his network connections in the industry. Edwards has also ushered various technology collaborations across the globe.
SmartSearch has been ramping up its executive appointments. In November, it announced the internal selection of Julie Green as Client Services Director. Previously, she was the company’s Vice President of Business Operations.
Edwards and Green’s appointment come at a critical juncture in SmartSearch’s growth. The company has seen developments driven by its expansion across all regulated markets such as financial services, accountancy, banking, legal, cryptocurrency and property.
The firm’s client base has expanded by 80% over the past five years and currently provides customer service and solutions to over 6,500 customers.
