Accenture, McDonald’s partner for digital systems and workforce

ILLINOIS and NEW YORK, UNITED STATES – Outsourcing firm Accenture and fast food chain company McDonald’s Corporation (McDonald’s) have extended their partnership to boost the restaurant’s digital systems with the goal of streamlining its operations to serve hotter and fresher food.
Accenture will equip McDonald’s computers with the latest edge technology and generative artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to enhance operational efficiency, as well as customer and crew experience.
To complement the system’s upgrades, Accenture will also organize online training courses and boot camps for McDonald’s staff. This is to ensure the McDonald’s workforce is equipped with the technical know-how necessary in today’s digital world.
Through this partnership, McDonald’s can reduce business disruption by quickly spotting operational errors and enacting the correct solution right away. The ultimate goal is for the fast food chain to improve the quality and quantity of its food offerings.
“Lifelong learning and digital upskilling are at the heart of our culture and long-term growth plans – and embedding this across our workforce will enable greater business agility and performance,” said McDonald’s Executive Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer Brian Rice.
Accenture topped the Time Doctor OA500, an index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing firms, with $61.6 billion in annual revenues for fiscal year 2022. The firm has also expanded its portfolio this year through 30 strategic acquisitions, including Bionest in the United States, SKS Group in Germany, Morphus in Ireland, and Nautilus Consulting in the United Kingdom.
