Bullhorn buys Dutch firm Mployee, enhances global recruiting platform

MASSACHUSETTS, UNITED STATES — Cloud computing firm Bullhorn, which provides software for the staffing and recruitment industry, has acquired staffing solutions company Mployee to boost its Salesforce platform.
Bullhorn products are currently on the Salesforce platform. Through the acquisition of Mployee, it can provide middle-office capabilities coupled with its own front-office functionality.
Salesforce is a software that centralizes recruitment activity on a single platform, allowing firms to streamline their internal processes. Amid economic uncertainties, the platform has aided recruiting firms in cutting costs and achieving efficiencies.
“This acquisition will help us better support those [global recruitment] agencies throughout the world in delivering more efficient middle-office operations,” said Matt Fischer, President and Chief Operating Officer at Bullhorn. “We’re excited at the potential of combining Mployee’s offerings with Bullhorn for Salesforce to deliver a full, end-to-end solution.”
In October 2023, Bullhorn laid off 140 roles, or 9% of the company. In a blog post, Bullhorn Chief Executive Officer noted the “downturn in comparison to the explosive growth observed coming out of the pandemic” forced the company to make the decision.
Over 10,000 clients utilize Bullhorn’s cloud-based platform to boost their recruitment processes. The Boston-based firm also has offices in London, Rotterdam, Frankfurt am Main, and Sydney.
