Accenture buys Navisite to boost North America presence
NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Outsourcing firm Accenture has acquired digital transformation and managed services provider Navisite to expand its North American presence and enhance its managed services offerings.
Navisite serves clients across industries, including technology, business services, healthcare, life sciences, and manufacturing. Through the acquisition of the firm, Accenture expects to receive a lift in its application and infrastructure managed services across North America.
Based in Massachusetts, Navisite offers strategic advisory and transformation services, including cloud, enterprise application, data management, intelligent automation, and cybersecurity solutions.
Approximately 1,500 workers from Navisite will join Accenture‘s Infrastructure Engineering practice. Navisite has over 400 cloud engineers with over 2,000 certifications.
“Most enterprise IT environments are not ready for the demands of the AI era,” said Karthik Narain, group chief executive, Accenture Technology. “Adding Navisite means we can more quickly help clients ‘run to the new’—modernizing at speed while they operate efficiently, through Accenture’s innovation-focused managed services.”
The terms of Accenture’s deal with private equity firm Madison Dearborn Partners (MDP) were not disclosed. Navisite was acquired by RDX – a managed IT services firm under MDP’s portfolio – in 2019.
Accenture ranked #1 in the 2023 Time Doctor OA500, the first objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies. The 2024 edition of the OA500 will be released next month.
