Genesys appoints cloud sales veteran to key EMEA post

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM — Artificial intelligence (AI)-powered experience orchestration specialist Genesys has appointed Daniel Bailey as its new Senior Vice President and Regional Sales Leader for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Bailey brings over two decades of experience in cloud solutions sales. Before Genesys, Bailey was VP EMEA at software company Amplitude.
He also held positions at software-as-a-service (SaaS) firm Zendesk and cloud-based firm Salesforce, during the early years of both firms’ business.
“With over two decades of technology sector expertise helping [organizations] achieve rapid growth, Daniel is well-positioned to assist Genesys in accelerating customer demand for experience orchestration,” said Larry Shurtz, chief sales officer, Genesys.
“This is an exciting time to join Genesys. There is an undeniable market shift taking place today as companies increasingly [realize] the impact customer experience has on revenue and profitability,” Bailey said.
Genesys Cloud saw its revenue increase by 60% year-over-year during the third quarter of the company’s fiscal year 2024, on the back of robust performance in the EMEA region.
This is the firm’s latest appointment following the nomination of Pavan Tsunduru as the new Chief Operating Officer of Genesys International.
Genesys provides customer experience (CX) and call center platforms, both cloud-based and hybrid cloud, to mid-sized and large companies to over 7,500 clients across 100 countries.
