Teleperformance urged to invest more in Hyderabad
HYDERABAD, INDIA — A top minister is strongly urging the leadership of outsourcing company Teleperformance to set up operations in Hyderabad.
Addressing Teleperformance founder Daniel Julian and CEO Anish Mukar during the Teleperformance Immersive Experience Summit, Telangana Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Industry & Commerce D. Sridhar Babu highlighted Hyderabad’s advantages as an investment destination, including its decades-long reputation as an IT and innovation hub.
“Hyderabad offers a favorable environment, skilled human resources, and robust infrastructure facilities for industries,” said the minister.
He also emphasized the city’s 165 engineering colleges and upcoming skill training institutes.
Sridhar Babu also noted that leading corporates like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Tech Mahindra are partnering with the state to establish new skill universities. Additionally, he cited Hyderabad’s resilience against natural disasters.
The minister revealed Telangana’s goal of making Hyderabad the global AI tech headquarters, including via a major AI summit planned in June. Simplified investment policies are also underway.
“We are striving to make Hyderabad the headquarters of AI technology,” stated Babu while urging Teleperformance to join the state’s vision of spearheading innovation.
Teleperformance already has several facilities in Hyderabad, including the Avinya AI center at DLF Cyber City and a global shared services center launched last year.
