Nasscom launches tech, leadership forum focusing on AI

MUMBAI, INDIA — IT-BPM industry body National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom) recently launched the Nasscom Technology and Leadership Forum (NTLF) 2024 in Mumbai.
The two-day event will bring together over 500 technology leaders and policymakers to address national priorities regarding artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact.
Discussions will focus on strategies for an AI-powered world, balancing innovation and regulation. Key topics were national AI plans, sustainability, personalization, infrastructure security, and future jobs.
The event’s central theme is pioneering ethical and inclusive AI in solving challenges within the industry.
Notable speakers included CEOs Mohit Joshi of Tech Mahindra and Samit Banerjee of Amdocs, along with experts like Senthil Ramani of Accenture and futurist Bernard Marr.
Partners include tech giants Google, Tata Consultancy Services, HCLTech, Cognizant, and Capgemini India.
Fellow industry body Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) is also participating in the event as a Country Partner.
Nasscom President Debjani Ghosh emphasized that while emerging tech presents tremendous possibilities, updated data policies and continuous workforce reskilling are vital.
Overall, the NTLF 2024 is expected to enable collective action between policymakers and businesses on data frameworks, job creation, and responsible innovation benefiting the global IT-BPM industry and society.
