Hire Velocity promotes Marques Smith to CEO and President
GEORGIA, UNITED STATES — Recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) provider Hire Velocity has promoted Marques Smith to Chief Executive Officer and President, effective March 1, 2024.
Prior to this appointment, Smith was Hire Velocity’s President since November 2021. In his new role, Smith will spearhead the firm’s strategic growth initiatives and operations.
“Marques has been a driving force behind Hire Velocity’s growth and success, and we are confident that he is the right person to lead the company into its next phase of growth,” said John West, Chairman of Hire Velocity.
Smith joined Hire Velocity in April 2016 as Vice President of Finance and held the post until March 2018, when he was promoted to Chief Operations Officer.
“I am honored to lead Hire Velocity as CEO and grateful for the opportunity to continue working alongside our talented team,” said Smith. “I am excited about the future of Hire Velocity and look forward to further accelerating our growth and delivering exceptional value to our clients.”
Smith has held executive positions at various staffing and recruiting companies, where he gained experience in talent acquisition, workforce planning, and organizational development.
