Outsourcing firms shine in The Sunday Times’ Best Places to Work 2024

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM — Several leading outsourcing companies have secured coveted spots in The Sunday Times’ prestigious Best Places to Work 2024 rankings, solidifying their reputation as employers of choice in the United Kingdom.

The annual list celebrates organizations that foster exceptional workplace cultures and high levels of employee engagement.

Best places to work for in the UK

The rankings are based on an anonymous employee survey conducted by workplace experts at WorkL. 

Companies are evaluated based on factors such as leadership, personal growth opportunities, well-being initiatives, and giving back to the community.

Firms are categorized into Small (10-49 employees), Medium (50-249), Big (250-1,999), and Very Big (over 2,000) groups based on their workforce size.

Top Ten High-Flyers

The top 10 highest-scoring companies in each size category are designated as the “Top Ten High-Flyers.” These companies are considered the cream of the crop, having outperformed all others in their size group in terms of cultivating an outstanding workplace experience for their employees.

Specific criteria like leadership effectiveness, opportunities for personal growth, work-life balance, and employee wellbeing initiatives likely play a significant role in determining these elite high-flyers.

The service providers who clinched a spot in the top 10 were CGI IT UK for the Very Big Category and Benefex, Octopus Electric Vehicles, and Xalient for the Big Category.

Meanwhile, BauWatch UK and The Select Recruitment Group also stood out in the Medium category, and H3O Digital, My Inhouse Lawyer, and Partnership Training for the Small Category.

Spotlight Awards

The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024 list also includes its Spotlight Awards, which celebrate unique qualities and achievements among the recognized companies. 

The organizations highlighted here excel at boosting staff happiness within specific areas and demographic groups. 

CGI IT UK was again named “Highly Commended” in the Best Places To Work For Ethnic Minorities and Best Places To Work For 16 to 34-Year-Olds categories due to its diversity, equity, and inclusion networks.

Partnership Training was also “Highly Commended” under the Best Places To Work For 16 To 34-Year-Olds category thanks to their 100% engagement score with young professionals.

Xalient also came out as “Highly Commended” under the Best Places To Work For Women category. The big company of 330 employees has 92% engagement among women.
