Irish BPO firm Uniquely invests $26Mn in UK expansion

GALWAY, IRELAND — Ireland’s sales and customer service outsource partner, Uniquely, has made an investment of more than £20 million ($26 million) in the United Kingdom.
This move aims to create 300 new jobs across major economic hubs in Birmingham, Manchester, and Glasgow by the end of 2025. The investment was unveiled at the first annual UK-Ireland Summit in Liverpool, highlighting the strong business ties between the two nations.

Uniquely, a business process outsourcing (BPO) firm, delivers sales and customer service solutions to numerous markets across multiple industries such as financial services, energy, and telecoms.
CEO Gerard Teahon emphasized the importance of this expansion: “This significant investment in the UK is both the realisation of an important milestone in our journey towards innovation, transformation, and growth and a testament to the exceptional talent and innovative offering we provide our increasingly international customer base.”
Strategic growth initiative and market impact
The investment is funded entirely from Uniquely’s Irish success, reflecting the company’s debt-free model. Teahon noted, “You either grow or you’re gone” in the competitive outsourcing sector, highlighting the need to scale and work with top brands.
Uniquely’s development path has been characterized by industry awards, such as being Ireland’s first outsourcer to receive the Customer Services Centre of the Year award. The company is based in Ireland with Customer Engagement Centres in Galway and Dundalk and serves top brands such as Sky and AIB Bank.
