CGI expands European reach with Novatec deal
GRANADA, SPAIN — CGI, a global IT and business consulting firm, has successfully completed its acquisition of Novatec, a digital services company operating in Germany and Spain, for an undisclosed sum. This strategic move enhances CGI’s presence in key European commercial sectors.
Strategic European expansion of CGI
The acquisition, carried out by CGI Deutschland B.V. & Co. KG, brings over 300 IT and consulting experts from Novatec into the CGI fold. These professionals are based across eight offices in Germany, particularly in the Stuttgart area, and in Granada, Spain.

Enhanced technology capabilities
Novatec’s expertise in cloud-based solutions, agile products, software development, and digital strategies will complement CGI’s existing intellectual property portfolio.
Specifically, Novatec’s application performance management solutions will enable clients to accelerate digital innovation using technologies like AI.
