Infosys wins $85Mn Air Liquide contract, beats IT rivals

BENGALURU, INDIA — Infosys has clinched an $85 million contract to provide IT and business process management (BPM) services to Air Liquide, the French multinational and global provider of industrial gases.
The win comes after a competitive bidding process that saw Infosys surpass rivals such as Accenture, Capgemini, TCS, and Wipro, securing the deal at a 12% premium over its competitors.
Sources familiar with the matter described the agreement as a “significant opportunity for Infosys to delve deeper into the account to drive other transformation initiatives and gain the right of refusal for future requests for proposals (RFPs).”
Strategic win strengthens Infosys’ position in Europe
Infosys and Air Liquide have a history of successful collaboration. Infosys completed a SAP implementation for Air Liquide’s Dutch subsidiary in just seven months, less than half the typical time for such projects.
“By working with Infosys we’ve been able to develop a standardized business process model and reap the benefits of having a common IT landscape for Air Liquide in Europe,” said Alain de La Rocheterie, CIO Europe, after a previous engagement.
The new contract is expected to deepen this partnership, positioning Infosys to lead further digital transformation initiatives at Air Liquide and potentially secure future projects as the French company continues its global modernization efforts.
