TELUS Digital acquires Gerent to boost AI-driven customer experience

VANCOUVER, CANADA — TELUS Digital Experience, a global provider of digital customer experience solutions, has acquired Gerent, a United States-based Salesforce consultancy known for its enterprise-scale implementation and integration projects, as well as agentic AI solutions. Financial terms of the deal remain confidential.
The acquisition is set to strengthen TELUS Digital’s capabilities in digital transformation and next-generation customer engagement.
Integration and brand transition
Gerent’s full portfolio—spanning Salesforce implementations, agentic AI, digital marketing, cybersecurity, cloud, and managed IT services—will now be offered exclusively through TELUS Digital.
The Gerent brand will be retired by the end of the third quarter of 2025, as all services are integrated into TELUS Digital’s offerings.
Gerent’s team, which operates remotely across the U.S., Canada, India, and Australia, will join TELUS Digital’s workforce, which already exceeds 78,000 employees globally.
Accelerating AI-driven transformation in customer experience
Agentic AI represents a leap in enterprise automation, empowering systems to autonomously make decisions and take meaningful action.
Gerent has developed AI-enhanced agents that support both employees and customers, including sales agents that independently engage with leads and CX agents that resolve customer issues without human intervention. These capabilities align with TELUS Digital’s proprietary AI platform, Fuel iX™, which accelerates the deployment of intelligent agents across the customer journey.
Jamie Timm, Global SVP, Service Delivery and Operations at TELUS Digital Solutions, commented, “Salesforce is a key platform for creating personalized, data-driven, and scalable engagement across sales, service, marketing, and commerce. Gerent’s Salesforce expertise, built over nearly two decades of solving complex, real-world challenges for enterprise clients, brings immediate value to our professional services portfolio and our clients.”
Expanding expertise and geographic reach
As a Salesforce Summit Partner, Gerent brings 1,800 certifications across the Salesforce product suite and a track record of over 1,000 successful projects worldwide, totaling more than 1.2 million implementation hours with an impressive customer satisfaction score of 4.9 out of 5.0.
Gerent’s estimated annual revenue is approximately $83.6 million, with a team of 461 employees—a workforce that grew by 49% last year. TELUS Digital, meanwhile, reported Q1 2025 revenue of $670 million, marking a 2% year-over-year increase. The company is ranked #81 in the OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies.
“Gerent will further strengthen our company’s expertise in transforming the CX agent experience, including the development and implementation of agentic AI as part of our Digital Solutions service line,” said Tobias Dengel, President of TELUS Digital Solutions.
“Together we are positioned to create the workforces of the future for our clients, which combine AI-enabled humans and autonomous AI agents to deliver smarter, faster and more personalized CX at scale.”
