HCLTech, Pearson launch global AI partnership for workforce upskilling

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM and NOIDA, INDIA — Global technology company HCLTech and lifelong learning business Pearson have announced a multi-year partnership aimed at accelerating skills development and bridging the global skills gap in the era of artificial intelligence.
Under the new alliance, the companies will co-develop AI-driven products and services to empower individuals, help organizations adapt, and advance workforce readiness amid rapid technological change.
The deal leverages Pearson’s global reach in learning and assessment, offering digital content, qualifications, and workforce data to customers in nearly 200 countries, with HCLTech’s digital transformation, engineering, and AI innovation expertise.
Next-generation learning solutions
The collaboration will see Pearson incorporate HCLTech’s advanced GenAI platform, AI Force, and EdTech platform Career Shaper to expand its AI-powered learning programs, assessments, and analytics. HCLTech will use Pearson’s AI assessment tools within its own HR system, offering organized learning paths, verified digital certificates, and talent development powered by Pearson’s Faethm AI platform.
The rise of AI in the workplace continues to challenge workers and employers worldwide, according to Pearson CEO Omar Abbosh. This is causing a growing skills gap that needs our attention quickly. Together with HCLTech, we will equip people with the AI-driven learning tools and the skills that help them navigate continuous change and build successful, resilient careers.”
HCLTech’s CEO, C Vijayakumar, added, “As GenAI and digital engineering redefine what’s possible in education and workforce development, we are thrilled to expand this collaboration globally.
