TCS opens AI-enhanced operations hub in Mexico City

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO — Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global provider of IT services, consulting, and business solutions, has launched a new AI-powered operations center in Mexico City.
The facility, TCS’ eighth in the country, underscores the company’s long-term commitment to Mexico and Latin America, where it has built a workforce of more than 11,000 employees over the past 22 years.
The new hub will employ AI specialists and software engineers, focusing on cutting-edge enterprise technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud, cybersecurity, IoT, IT infrastructure, and cognitive business operations.
According to the company, the site is expected to generate new employment opportunities in the country over the next two years.
Strengthening Mexico’s digital ecosystem
Rajeev Gupta, Head of Nearshore LATAM and Country Head – Mexico, described the opening as a milestone for TCS: “Our promise of creating jobs in Mexico is proof of our firm commitment to continue developing the Mexican digital ecosystem, while fostering local talent and establishing Mexico as a hub for innovation and digital transformation.”
Marcelo Wurmann, CEO – Latin America at TCS, added: “Since we began operations in Mexico, over two decades ago, we have recognized that this country is a key pillar of our growth in Latin America.”
The expansion also received praise from Mexico’s Economy Secretary Marcelo Ebrard, who highlighted the role of TCS in advancing the nation’s digital economy: “The investment and creation of high-quality jobs that TCS brings with this new center are crucial to the development of our digital economy and the positioning of Mexico as a center for technological innovation.”
