TOKYO, JAPAN — Accenture has announced the acquisition of Tokyo-based SI&C Co., Ltd., a move set to strengthen its ability to deliver enterprise-wide, data-driven business transformation for Japanese clients.

The deal will see the entire SI&C group, with approximately 1,500 professionals, including 900 SI&C employees and 600 from its subsidiaries, join Accenture Japan.

According to Accenture’s Japan CEO Atsushi Egawa, “Accenture continues to strengthen its services to help clients build digital cores that are essential to driving enterprise-wide transformation. SI&C’s mission to use digital technology to improve the future and transform society resonates strongly with Accenture’s purpose to deliver on the promise of technology and human ingenuity.”

“We believe the integration of these two companies, which share the same values, will accelerate transformation for Japanese enterprises,” Egawa added

The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

SI&C’s 45-year legacy: From IT solutions to global innovation

Founded in 1980, SI&C has established a reputation for delivering high-quality IT services, leveraging advanced digital solutions, cloud innovation, and AI expertise.

Serving clients across the financial services, public sector, manufacturing, and retail industries, SI&C is recognized for its significant technical depth, business consulting services, and organizational transformation capabilities.

The company is notable for achieving Level 5, the highest rating in the CMMI maturity model, and for supporting employee certification in international project management standards such as PMP.

SI&C’s subsidiaries, ADVANCED SOLUTION LEADING CORPORATION and Cibis, Inc., add further strength. These firms specialize in application development and ERP implementation support.

All SI&C employees will gain access to Accenture’s global learning, innovation platforms, and development programs, expanding career opportunities in the process.

Workforce growth and impact on IT outsourcing

With the addition of SI&C’s 1,500 professionals, Accenture will enhance its workforce of approximately 791,000 employees across more than 120 countries, demonstrating its commitment to scale and innovation in the professional services and outsourcing space.

After two consecutive years in the top spot, Accenture ranked #2 in OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s 500 top outsourcing companies.

Accenture’s broad range of technology, operations, and consulting solutions has positioned it as a global leader in digital transformation and outsourcing, with services spanning cloud, data, AI, and industry-specific innovation.

“Since our founding, we have continuously evolved while staying true to our commitment to technical excellence and quality,” Toshinori Iwasawa, CEO of SI&C, commented

“Aligned with our vision of becoming a ‘Beyond SI’ solutions integrator that exceeds client expectations, this transaction will combine our strengths with Accenture’s broad service offerings, global insights, and execution capabilities to deliver new value to our clients, while providing expanded opportunities for our people. We will continue to serve our clients, employees, and society with integrity and a spirit of bold change.”

The acquisition underscores the increasingly competitive landscape in outsourcing, where skills in data, cloud, and AI are essential for large-scale digital transformation.

Both companies emphasized a “shared commitment to technical excellence and quality” and the expectation to “deliver tangible value at speed and scale” to enterprises navigating digital and societal change.

Previous Accenture acquisition in Japan

Accenture’s acquisition of SI&C follows another major deal in 2025: Yumemi, a Japan-based provider of digital products and services, also joined Accenture this year.

Yumemi’s roughly 400 professionals became part of Accenture Song, enhancing design, development, and analytics for Japanese and worldwide clients.

This acquisition demonstrates Accenture’s ongoing strategy to expand advanced digital capabilities and drive innovation in Japan’s technology market.
