ProRank, Goodwork merge to reshape global healthcare hiring

LAKE FOREST, ILLINOIS — ProRank, an AI-enabled sourcing platform, and Goodwork, a modern healthcare job board and talent marketplace, have officially completed their merger, creating a combined entity for healthcare talent acquisition powered by artificial intelligence and marketplace innovation.
The deal brings together two holistic platforms to address the healthcare industry’s unpredictable workforce challenges.
AI-powered platform gains scale
The merger combines ProRank’s AI-enabled sourcing engine with a candidate database of more than 135 million profiles alongside Goodwork’s growing job board and talent marketplace.
Both companies described this strategic alignment as “a unique platform that unites supply and demand in a way neither company could achieve alone.”
According to Dave Vreeland, Senior Managing Partner at Caduceus Capital Partners, it is not a secret that the healthcare industry has been facing a workforce shortage, with a substantial shortfall expected in the next few years. Thus, some healthcare organizations in the environment now depend on effective talent campaigns.
He also added that the merger of ProRank’s AI-enabled sourcing platform and immense candidate database creates a powerful engine to fuel Goodwork’s market. Therefore, by merging, the businesses are opening up a new level of recruiting scale and efficiency in the healthcare industry.
The combined company will operate under the leadership of Adam Seyb as CEO, while Daniel Hixon will continue as CEO of Goodwork, which will maintain its distinct product identity within the merged entity’s portfolio.
“We’re incredibly excited about the team we’re building, the technology we’re bringing to market, and the impact we’re positioned to make together,” said Adam Seyb.
$3 million seed funding supports expansion
Caduceus Capital Partners invested $3 million in the combined company’s seed funding round as part of the merger transaction. The investment reflects strong investor trust in the platforms’ strategic alignment and ability to handle the personnel crisis in healthcare successfully.
The merger marks ProRank’s first transaction in the staffing sector, creating a significant broadening of the Lake Forest, Illinois-based company’s market presence.
Both companies share a common vision of realigning incentives among employers, candidates, and recruiters to create a more intelligent and efficient recruiting experience.
The combined platform aims to connect high-intent candidates with appropriate opportunities more swiftly and effectively while helping healthcare organizations reduce costs and time-to-hire during a period of critical workforce shortages.
