Foundever launches e-waste recycling program in Philippines

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Foundever has launched a nationwide e-waste drop box program across its Philippine sites, signaling a stronger commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible workplace practices.
Promoting responsible e-waste disposal
The company rolled out the program in July at Foundever’s Pasig technopoint site, which allows employees to conveniently dispose of old mobile phones, tablets, laptops, batteries, and other electronic devices in designated drop boxes.
The program is spearheaded by Vice President for Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Marketing Willy Lim, and Site Director Filipina Barbo.
“Environmental sustainability is not just a corporate responsibility, it’s a shared commitment that extends to every member of our ever-growing Foundever family,” said Willy Lim.
The company partnered with HMR Envirocycle Philippines, a Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)-accredited recycling firm, to ensure that all e-waste collected is processed in compliance with environmental regulations and global best practices.
“We’ve taken our partnership further with HMR Envirocycle Philippines, our partner for IT-related waste, by providing our employees with convenient and responsible ways to dispose of electronic waste. Through this, we’re taking meaningful action toward protecting our environment while fostering a culture of sustainability within our workplace,” Lim added.
Foundever is making it easier for employees to contribute to sustainability efforts while helping to address the country’s growing challenge of electronic waste by placing these e-waste drop boxes on-site.
Corporate social responsibility through green workplace initiatives
The new program adds to Foundever’s portfolio of sustainability and community-driven projects.
Earlier this year, the company also spearheaded a mangrove restoration project in the Philippines, aimed at protecting coastal ecosystems and mitigating the effects of climate change. The initiative underscored the firm’s dedication to biodiversity conservation and environmental responsibility.
Together, these efforts highlight how outsourcing companies are leveraging their scale to make an impact beyond business operations, aligning with global standards for corporate social responsibility (CSR).
E-waste initiative highlights CSR impact
Foundever’s e-waste drop box program is an example of corporate social responsibility (CSR), which Outsource Accelerator’s Outsourcing Impact Review (OIR) 2025 aims to highlight. Foundever’s initiative demonstrates the industry’s potential to foster significant environmental and community impact while supporting the OIR’s core mission.
This review by Outsource Accelerator, now in its third year, aims to redefine perceptions of the outsourcing industry by recognizing companies that drive significant positive change. This year’s OIR 2025 recently announced its record-breaking 31 finalists since its launch in 2023.
Foundever also ranked #49 in the OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies.
