Atento Mexico expands workforce diversity with senior, youth programs

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Atento Mexico is strengthening its commitment to workforce diversity by expanding programs designed to attract and retain both senior and young professionals.
The company’s goal is to create a more inclusive workplace where experience and fresh ideas come together, fueling long-term growth for one of the world’s leading providers of customer relationship management and business transformation outsourcing (CRM/BTO) services.
Expanding opportunities for senior professionals
As part of this push, Atento Mexico has earned the Age-Friendly Certification, a recognition of its policies that support employment for professionals aged 50 and above.
The company emphasizes the importance of leveraging the expertise of senior workers while ensuring job security through indefinite contracts, which now account for more than 91% of its agreements.
“Senior talent brings experience and knowledge that is imperative,” said Patricia Valdés, Human Resources Director at Atento Mexico. “The combination of the two is what allows us to innovate and remain a benchmark in the customer experience.”
By encouraging greater participation from senior professionals, Atento believes it can strengthen team resilience and ensure employees remain engaged and supported throughout their careers.
Boosting youth employability and career growth
At the same time, the company is investing in young talent. Currently, approximately 43% of Atento Mexico’s workforce is under 30, underscoring its role as a gateway for professionals entering their careers. Many secure their first job with the company, gaining valuable skills through training and career development programs.
In 2024, Atento Mexico provided over 4.6 million hours of training, resulting in more than 4,900 promotions worldwide.
This method, which enables people to learn and progress inside the firm, has contributed to employee loyalty while also establishing an opportunity and growth culture.
Valdés emphasized the significance of integrating diverse generations into the workplace. “Younger profiles bring new ideas and energy,” she added, adding that cross-generational cooperation enriches the business culture and increases employee loyalty.
Generational diversity as a driver for outsourcing
Atento’s talent initiatives reflect a broader trend in outsourcing, where diversity is seen as a strategic advantage.
By combining the experience of senior professionals with the energy of younger workers, outsourcing firms can respond more effectively to customer needs, drive innovation, and sustain growth.
Atento’s strategy highlights that the future of outsourcing will be shaped not only by technology and efficiency but also by people. Bringing together multiple generations could prove to be one of the industry’s greatest strengths.
