DXC Technology opens Halifax AI innovation center in Canada

VIRGINIA, UNITED STATES, and NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA — DXC Technology has inaugurated its innovation center in Halifax, Nova Scotia, signaling a strong commitment to Canada’s growth and technological future. This center will focus on AI-driven transformation and expand DXC’s technology services across Canada.
DXC Technology is a Fortune 500 technology services company with a global presence, boasting 60 years of innovation history and a reputation as a trusted operating partner that drives industries forward. DXC offers deep knowledge in simplifying complex IT infrastructures and managing critical workloads, which is not only a guarantee of client trust.
It comprises more than 120,000 professionals spread across over 70 countries, which relies on partnerships with over 200 technology giants to help their clients upgrade their systems and incorporate AI.
The company also recently opened its first sales center in Toronto, earlier this year, as part of its aim to expand its Canadian presence. It has operated in the country for over 20 years, currently employing more than 1,800 people across all 10 provinces.
DXC Technology ranked #27 in the OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies.
DXC expands Canadian footprint with Halifax innovation hub
The center is situated within the West End of Halifax, a favorable expansion zone for DXC, where community partnerships, customer relationships, and innovation are promoted.
“It’s another sign of our city’s growing reputation as one of Canada’s leading centers for technology and innovation and a place where talent, creativity, and big ideas come together to build the future,” said Andy Fillmore, Mayor of Halifax.
The relocation helps expand DXC, which operates across multiple industries, including healthcare, banking, and government services. The center will also enhance the provision of comprehensive end-to-end technology solutions, including AI, cloud computing, infrastructure, and cybersecurity solutions.
Even though this development significantly improves the prospects of residents in the selected area, Mayor Fillmore emphasized its significance, as the existence of DXC will create new opportunities and establish stronger connections with nearby post-secondary institutions. It will be a source of talent development and innovative technological innovations in the city and wider.
AI-driven innovation boosted by strategic global partnerships
The Halifax innovation center is built around DXC’s AI-first strategy, aiming to integrate AI with traditional enterprise technology.
“By combining our deep expertise across the full spectrum of enterprise services with cutting-edge AI capabilities and strategic partnerships, we’re creating a powerful ecosystem that helps customers accelerate end-to-end digital transformation and unlock new possibilities for growth,” said Cameron Art, DXC President of the Americas and UKI.
Among the key elements of this strategy is creating next-generation solutions that integrate AI and enterprise services, thereby enhancing digital transformation for clients. DXC has also been building its AI potential with strategic alliances.
One example is the Agentic Security Operations Center (SOC), which was developed in collaboration with 7AI and also provides autonomous cybersecurity services. Additionally, the DXC collaboration with Boomi will enable the accelerated implementation of AI and data modernization, allowing companies to capitalize on new growth opportunities.
This growth will play a major role in the increasing need for sovereign security solutions, especially in the government agencies of Canada. DXC has become a reliable partner to federal, provincial, and local governments, and the new center will help them develop AI and cloud solutions that address the unique needs of the intended population segment.
By consolidating delivery teams under one roof, DXC plans to innovate and deliver robust and stable solutions to its clients.
