Foundever opens first CX hub in Upper Egypt’s Luxor

FLORIDA, UNITED STATES — In a strategic move to tap into new talent pools, global customer experience firm Foundever has launched its first offshore contact center in Luxor, Egypt. The new hub, inaugurated during a ceremony attended by government officials, will create hundreds of jobs.
Foundever is a customer experience (CX) company that provides innovative solutions and technology to over 800 large brands. The company has 150,000 associates who deliver well over 9 million customer engagements a day in more than 60 languages, thanks to its global presence, and uses that presence to provide seamless customer interactions.
The company emerged under a single brand following the merger of Sitel Group and SYKES, building a foundation for continued global expansion.
Foundever previously ranked #49 in the OA500, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies.
Decentralizing Egypt’s outsourcing industry
A core outcome of Foundever’s new Luxor hub is the active decentralization of Egypt’s outsourcing industry from its traditional base in Cairo.
This is the company’s first operational presence in Upper Egypt, a region relatively underdeveloped in international business services. The relocation directly exploits the local talent pool, creating specific career prospects in a new geographic location and enabling the social and economic growth of non-capital communities.
“Launching our first hub in Upper Egypt reflects our confidence in the region’s incredible potential — its people, talent, and spirit of innovation. Luxor will play a key role in driving our global vision for the future of customer experience,” said Laurent Uberti, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Executive Chairman of Foundever.
This growth is part of a national plan supported by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Egypt to make the country a global offshoring destination for CX and IT. The Luxor site currently has 200 seats and is scheduled to increase to 400 full-time employees in December 2026.
This expansion is one of Foundever’s initiatives to create 5,000 new jobs in Egypt over the next three years, following the company’s proven 115% growth last year in its Cairo centers.
Leveraging AI to empower human agents
The Luxor hub serves as a strategic platform for Foundever to deploy its AI-enhanced CX model. The company is implementing practical AI solutions, including conversational AI and agentic automation, specifically to elevate the capabilities of its human associates.
This integration is designed to empower agents to work more efficiently and with greater confidence, handling more complex interactions while delivering human-centered experiences at scale.
The strategy is artificial and technology-driven and is the key element of Foundever’s global vision for the future of CX. It is focused on enhancing productivity and value-added in all customer interactions through AI rather than eliminating the human factor.
The Luxor center is presented as a working model of how intelligence and empathy can combine to strengthen customer engagement and drive performance, directly aligning with the company’s stated goal of delivering “simple, seamless and human-centered experiences.”
