MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Foundever is helping transform the lives of underprivileged Filipinos through its newly launched Learn2employ initiative, a program designed to equip beneficiaries of the government’s 4Ps program with practical skills for careers in the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector.

According to a report from Manila Standard, the initiative aims to bridge workforce gaps by preparing participants for employment in the customer experience (CX) industry.

Foundever bridges skills gap for underserved Filipinos

Implemented at Alabang Central Market and the Mandaluyong City Protection Center for Women, Children, and LGBTQIA+, Learn2employ successfully trained 124 participants—74 from Muntinlupa City and 50 from Mandaluyong.

Upon completing the training, all participants were invited to apply for positions at Foundever, with seven trainees successfully hired, illustrating the program’s direct impact on career outcomes.

“The Learn2employ initiative represents our commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for every Filipino, regardless of their background,” said Willy Lim, Vice President for HR, Marketing, and Talent Acquisition of Foundever in the Philippines, China, and Malaysia.

“We believe that with the right training and support, 4Ps beneficiaries can become valuable contributors to the BPO industry while building sustainable careers for their families,” he added.

The program equips participants with customer service fundamentals, communication skills, and industry-specific competencies, providing a foundation to meet the standards of the global CX sector

“Seeing seven of our trainees transition directly into employment with us is incredibly rewarding, but the real success is in empowering all 124 participants with skills they can use throughout their careers,” Lim highlighted the broader impact of the initiative

Empowering Filipinos through BPO job pathways

Beyond job placement, Learn2employ reinforces Foundever’s commitment to inclusive workforce development by partnering with government programs to address social and economic challenges across Filipino communities.

The initiative exemplifies how targeted training programs can generate tangible opportunities, particularly for underserved populations.

By investing in skills development for underserved groups, companies like Foundever are not only building a more competent workforce but are also contributing to economic mobility and sustainable talent pipelines.

Aligning with global outsourcing social impact trends

This initiative aligns closely with the findings from the Outsourcing Impact Review (OIR) 2025 by Outsource Accelerator, which recognizes that the outsourcing industry is increasingly being recognized for its social responsibility beyond mere cost efficiency.

The OIR 2025 report highlights how outsourcing firms are embracing community building, education, and inclusive employment as key pillars of their social impact.

In particular, the report noted that community building has been the primary theme of BPO social activities in 2025 and that the sector is transforming how businesses across industries can contribute to positive social change.

By targeting beneficiaries of a national social welfare program and placing them in CX roles, Foundever’s Learn2employ can be seen as an on-the-ground embodiment of those global outsourcing impact trends.
