Tech Mahindra to deliver IoT supply chain solutions for Arviem

PUNE, INDIA, and BAAR, SWITZERLAND — Tech Mahindra, an IT and business process outsourcing (BPO) services provider, will deliver advanced technology solutions for Arviem, an in-transit cargo security and quality monitoring firm.
In its press release, Tech Mahindra says the strategic partnership will build intelligent supply chain visibility platforms. Leveraging its global scale and digital transformation expertise, Tech Mahindra will empower the cargo monitoring specialist with enhanced logistics optimization, operational transparency, and resilience.
IoT alliance targets global logistics
Tech Mahindra is a multinational consulting and integration firm based in more than 90 countries, with a revenue of $6.2 billion and over 1,100 customers, promising scale at speed in digital transformation.
This vast worldwide network and customer base now form the basis of a strategic new collaboration with Arviem, a global company established in 2008 in Switzerland that provides real-time monitoring of cargo.
As the sole provider of a pay-as-you-go service for cargo monitoring, Arviem offers high levels of specialization, having gathered data on more than 80,000 shipments across 120 countries, which fills important gaps in supply chain visibility for multinational clients.
Partnership enhances real-time IoT monitoring in logistics
The partnership aims to utilize the individual and complementary competencies of both entities, enabling them to penetrate the market more quickly.
Tech Mahindra is also upgrading its Scale at Speed service to include collaboration with Arviem, embedding its real-time cargo tracking technology. This is a strategic step that will enable Tech Mahindra to deliver end-to-end, more comprehensive AI and Internet of Things (IoT)-based solutions to business clients undergoing supply chain transformation.
By leveraging Arviem’s niche expertise, Tech Mahindra accelerates its market penetration and strengthens its combined offering with a powerful, data-driven capability.
On the other hand, for Arviem, the joint venture provides it with a direct route to expand its visibility platforms into new markets and other industries through Tech Mahindra’s extensive client base.
“Together with Tech Mahindra, we will realize smarter, data-driven decisions that enhance efficiency, cargo integrity, resilience, and sustainability across global supply chains – delivering benefits for companies and their customers, as well as for governmental, public-sector, insurance, and security organizations,” said Charles Vincent, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Arviem.
Tackling cargo security, emissions, and visibility gaps
The joint venture will focus on global cooperation to address some of the most pressing and complex challenges in logistics.
As Sampath Saagi, Head of Diverse Industry Verticals Group, Americas at Tech Mahindra, notes, “Many enterprises face challenges in achieving end-to-end visibility across increasingly complex logistics networks. Tech Mahindra’s partnership with Arviem combines deep technology expertise with real-time cargo intelligence to bridge this gap.”
The joint solutions will help businesses combat the issues of smuggling and illegal trade, reduce unnecessary carbon emissions, and enhance the stability of the overall delivery network.
The partnership will lead to streamlining of operations, minimize cargo wastage, guarantee improved cargo integrity, and create a more robust supply chain that offers inherent asset tracking and analytics.
The customer value proposition is to ensure that their operations have attained new levels of intelligence and transparency that have never been achieved before.
“Together, we aim to empower organizations to make smarter, data-backed decisions, enhance operational transparency, and build sustainable, future-ready supply chains,” noted Saagi.
