DXC boosts AI-driven SAP expansion across Middle East and Africa

VIRGINIA, UNITED STATES — Global technology services firm DXC Technology announced a major strategic investment to significantly expand its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered SAP capabilities across the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
The multi-pronged initiative includes establishing a new SAP Academy in Saudi Arabia, launching a Center of Excellence in Egypt, and hiring over 300 new SAP professionals across the region to help enterprises modernize applications and accelerate business processes, according to the company’s press release.
“Expanding our SAP capabilities across the Middle East and Africa reinforces DXC’s commitment to helping customers modernize their technology landscapes and unlock greater value from their SAP investments,” said Keith Costello, President, Enterprise Applications and Technology at DXC Consulting and Engineering Services.
DXC Technology ranked #27 in the OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies.
DXC builds SAP talent pipeline in Saudi Arabia and Egypt
The company is establishing a SAP Academy in Saudi Arabia specifically to train and certify local talent, aligning with the Kingdom’s national digital transformation goals.
Concurrently, the launch of a Center of Excellence (COE) for SAP in Egypt establishes a dedicated regional delivery hub to support public and commercial sector growth not only in Egypt but also in key markets such as the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
This move follows its recent expansion in Halifax, as DXC doubles down on its global AI strategy by launching a strategic Client Experience Center in the Philippines, a key talent hub, to co-create enterprise AI and cybersecurity solutions with clients.
This buildup of physical and human capital is substantial, positioning certain countries as linchpins in DXC’s regional strategy.
Egypt is being positioned as a strategic hub with the recruitment of 250 SAP experts, while South Africa, already serving over 50 regional enterprises, is set to become a key delivery hub with plans for 50 new roles there over the next two years.
These moves demonstrate a commitment to deep regional embedding rather than operating through distant, global delivery centers.
DXC applies AI to boost SAP ROI in Middle East and Africa
Instead of just expanding physically, DXC is focusing on using its global size and AI knowledge to help clients get more benefits from complicated SAP systems.
The new Egypt COE will use AI, reusable tools, and updated methods to provide essential SAP services that focus on increasing the return on investment for customers. Organizations can utilize this approach to streamline complexity and expedite their transformation timelines.
DXC has more than 35 years of SAP experience, 15,000 SAP professionals, and serves over 5 million SAP users worldwide, and this philosophy is being applied to regional issues.
The company has been investing in its improved potential across major sectors of its industry, such as manufacturing, automotive, and retail, to improve demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and process efficiency for its clients.
As Costello notes, “By combining our global SAP expertise with strong regional delivery, we’re enabling organizations to simplify complexity, accelerate transformation, and build a foundation for sustained growth.”
The final objective is to apply this technology base to enhance customer satisfaction and create new growth opportunities for businesses in the Middle East and Africa.
