CCI Global expands in Africa with $355Mn outsourcing investment

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND — CCI Global, one of Africa’s top call-center operators, is ramping up its presence on the continent with a US$355 million investment to expand outsourcing operations and drive job growth.
According to a report from the Ecofin Agency, the move underscores Africa’s rising prominence as a hub for customer service outsourcing, with opportunities expected to generate millions of new jobs over the next decade.
Africa secures 94% of CCI Global funding
Over the next two years, CCI Global plans to invest a total of US$378 million across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, with 94%, around US$355.3 million, earmarked for Africa.
The key markets include South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Ghana, Botswana, and Egypt.
“This distribution reflects CCI Global’s continued focus on Africa as the heart of its operations, while deepening its presence in Europe and the Middle East to support global clients more seamlessly,” the company said.
The bulk of the investment will focus on workforce expansion, training, and development, accounting for over half of the planned funds.
Another 38% will be dedicated to integrating artificial intelligence, automation, and other advanced customer-experience technologies, while the remaining 10% will go toward opening new offices and upgrading infrastructure.
Creating 1.5 million jobs by 2030
CCI Global currently employs about 15,000 staff and serves more than 80 companies across sectors such as telecommunications, financial services, hospitality, and healthcare.
The company’s expansion aligns with a broader trend: customer-service outsourcing by global companies could create up to 1.5 million new call-center jobs in Africa by 2030, according to a joint report released by CCI Global and consulting firm Everest Group in August.
The report also found that around 85% of global companies are actively considering Africa for customer-service outsourcing, with particularly strong interest in South Africa, Kenya, and Egypt.
This trend signals Africa’s growing competitiveness in the global BPO landscape, supported by a large talent pool, lower operational expenses, and increasing adoption of AI and automation technologies.
Companies such as CCI Global are heavily investing in Africa, positioning the continent as a key outsourcing destination. With millions of potential jobs and continued adoption of advanced technologies, the expansion is not only an economic boost but also a sign that Africa’s BPO industry is entering a transformative era, blending human talent with digital innovation to meet global client demands.
CCI Global is currently subscribed to the Outsource Accelerator (OA) Source Partner Program, a strategic platform that supports BPOs in enhancing their marketing, sales, and business intelligence capabilities. The company also ranked #193 in the OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies.
